Google My Business Dashboard
The Google My Business (GMB) service has officially been renamed and reorganized into Google Business Profile (GBP). The standalone dashboard with its desktop sidebar and the old mobile app have been discontinued. Business profiles are now managed directly from Google Search and within the Google Maps app. All business information, reviews, and access permissions have been preserved.
Thousands of business owners still search for "Google My Business dashboard" out of habit. They click a link but, instead of the familiar blue management panel, land on a regular Google Search page. Their first thought is that the dashboard has been blocked or the service has stopped working.
In reality, this is a planned evolution of the platform. Just as the "Google Places" directory once became "Google My Business," the service itself has evolved into Google Business Profile. Let's look at exactly what has changed, where the old sections have moved, and which features have been permanently discontinued.

| Feature or Section | How It Worked in Google My Business (GMB) | Where to Find It in Google Business Profile (GBP) |

What Was Discontinued During the Transition to the New Platform
The reorganization affected more than just the design of the buttons. Google removed several outdated tools that owners of older business profiles should know about:
- Free websites on the
.business.sitedomain were discontinued. The one-page business websites that were automatically generated from profile information in the old dashboard have been completely shut down. If your profile still contains one of these links, customers will see an error when they click it. Be sure to replace it with your company's working website domain. - The way profile views are counted has changed. In the old Google My Business dashboard, every impression was counted. In the new "Performance" interface, the system counts unique users per day, making the figures more accurate and avoiding artificial duplication.
Important - If the management panel does not appear when you search for your business name on Google, check the profile avatar in the upper-right corner of your browser. In many cases, the reason is that you are signed in with a personal email account rather than the work account originally used to register the Google My Business profile.
